I Am Bad

I Am Bad!
By: Brittney Hammond

These poor, pitiful kids what have I done?
How could I hold them in like this?
I feel terrible, I feel dirty.
Why did I get chosen to do this?

I can’t take it I need to let them go
But what happens to me if I do let them go
Could I get hurt? I would think not I am
a barbed wire fence.

The only thing they can do to me is
tare me down.
But if they do that then they will have no
one to keep the other prisoners in.

Please someone tell me what to do
I cant keep doing this it is killing me
I need help I have feelings to you know
Even though I am a barbed wire fence.

I am confused I don’t know what to do
Someone guide me please. I am done.
I have nothing else to do but stand here
High above the children that is so sad.

There is nothing I can do
I am now done I give up
I must hold them in and hurt.
I feel terrible, I feel dirty.

Eyes That Can't See

Eyes That Can’t See
By: Brittney Hammond

I am a solider; I am about five foot 6
I have just been blinded by the
horrible Mustard Gas
that the Nazis let out.

What’s next only God knows.

I am only blind because of the Nazis
They are trying to bring us down.
Some of us are letting them
others fight their hearts out.

God please help the ones that are weak.

Right before the attack I saw my
Best friend get shot and killed.
I never saw what was next
only a few of us can still see.

God please take me home.

I feel the burns still from the gas
I need help.
I think I am bleeding, but from where
I can’t see, please help me.

God where are you?

Am I awake?
Or am I dreaming I can’t tell
Please tell me.
I need help.

God I hear someone, is it you?

I can’t see all I can do is hear.
I hear you, but who are you?
The doctor is going to help me.
I am now at peace.

God I am with you now.

I didn’t make it.
The Mustard Gas killed me
These evil Nazis did this to me
But I don’t need to worry.

Because they have their day coming
Their family will lose them
Just like my family lost me
I an now at peace and
I don’t need to worry now!

Love and Peace, Not War!

War is never necessary. I think that war is a terrible thing to have to go through. If you can't talk things out then there is no point in even trying to make things right. For example: if you and your best friend get into an argument and can't talk it out then what do you do then? Instead of making your other friends suffer and making other people suffer go your own ways for a little while. Then in a week or so then maybe you and your best friend can talk it out. It's the same way with countries and other people that make war possible. Like if the United States and Germany couldn't talk through a problem then go there own way for a while instead of having a war and hurting/killing innocent people. That is why war is never necessary.

My different Life

If the Industrial Revolution or the Enlightenment never occurred , we would still be doing certain things by hand or we would still be under control. For example making cars or making toys for kids or following stupid rules from other countries. There are lots of things that would be completely different if things like the Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution didn't occur.

1. We would not have factories. Meaning we would still be doing things by hand and goods would still be way expensive.

2. We would still be under control by Britain. Meaning that we would listen to rules that don't make any since.

3. We would still be paying outrageous prices for goods. Meaning food, toys, and cars would be crazy expensive.

The Industrial Revolution and the Enlightenment made life a whole lot easier for us. Yes lots of people died or got hurt trying to make things work out but they did it for a good reason and purpose. If these two things never occurred then life that we know now would be miserable.
